New York Welcomes You to the Empire State and has an exceptional interactive DVD that is available for (almost) free. From New York Welcomes You click on the link to order it.
On the cover it says: “Think you know New York? Think again!” and we agree. We live here and we love it, but frankly, New York State taxes and costs and politics commonly makes me roll my eyes.
Just because New York is politically and and economically a little screwed up doesn’t change the incredible variety of travel and vacation opportunities. For example; Toni and I have started taking the Amtrac Train and watching the 11 colorful regions roll by.
Having seen them all, we still, of course, prefer the StoryBook Village at Skaneateles, NY we live in.
Point is York Staters: Next time you are thinking of a vacation, think about your own back yard.
