The new SAVES building on Fennell Street is progressing
on schedule. Thanks to the generosity of members
of the community, funds were available and the
building construction was begun sooner than
expected. The exterior of the building has taken shape
and interior work is almost complete. Follow the construction
on the SAVES website
www.savesambulance.com.
A May opening is planned. We will be offering members
of the community an opportunity to tour the building
when it is finished.
Call volume during the most recent quarter was about
the same as last year. The annual total for 2006 was up
over one year ago continuing the trend toward increasing
responses to emergencies in the community.
We welcome Steve Casper as our newest driver.
Steve has completed the internal driver training and
will be assuming regular driving duties. Jake Carlson
has been attending Paramedic training classes and will
be completing his certification later this year.
The opening of the new building promises to provide
an exciting 2007 to members of the SAVES family. We
wish all of you a happy and safe summer.
