Frontline Staff Familiarization Tour, June 14th The Office of Tourism is organizing a familiarization tour for frontline tourism staff. The purpose of this tour is to educate staff that interact with our visitors on a regular basis – front desk and box office personnel, docents, wait staff, wine tasting room employees and others – about area attractions, restaurants, and hotels so they can better assist visitors to our county. This year the tour will begin in Auburn and travel through Niles and Moravia, stopping along the way at Niles Country Gourmet Market, the Village of Moravia, including Fillmore Glen State Park and the Cascade Grille on the shores of Owasco Lake. During lunch a “Tools for Tourism” session will be held to teach participants about the services, maps, brochures, event and attraction information available through the Cayuga County Office of Tourism. This tour is FREE and open to all frontline tourism staff, however, space is limited and reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information, contact Meg Vanek at cctourism@cayuganet.org.
