[Skaneateles, NY] Ellen Potter, award winning author of the middle-grade OLIVIA KIDNEY series, as well as the middle-grade novel PISH POSH, will host a writing workshop for kids, ages 8-14 at Creekside Books & Coffee on Saturday October 20th at 3:00 pm.

“This is the second workshop we’re hosting this October for kids ages 8-14.  What a thrilling way for aspiring young writers to hone their craft and meet a stimulating author,” says Creekside owner Erika L. Davis.  “Her books will make great holiday gifts, especially after attending this workshop.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Ellen’s books are published all over the world, including England, Finland, Japan, Thailand, Spain, and France.  Like her character, Olivia Kidney, Ellen grew up in a high-rise apartment building in New York City’s Upper West Side. Ellen has now made her home in Candor, NY.

“It is always such a pleasure to have authors visit. It is especially exciting to have Ellen sharing her talent and experience with us,” says Davis.

Creekside Books & Coffee is located at 35 Fennell Street in Skaneateles.  The bookstore is the only retail store in the village selling new hardcover and paperback books as well as toys, gifts, greeting cards and other merchandise. The coffeehouse features the freshest roasted coffee in town, a light fare menu and a pleasant atmosphere to relax and enjoy.
