Local Animal and Non Animal Artists Bring Out Their Masterpieces for Auction to Raise Money for Local Spay and Neuter Clinic Syracuse, NY
“Pawcasso”, an Exhibit of Fine Art, By, For and About Animals, is on display starting next week at the Orange Line Gallery in the Coffee Pavilion, Hanover Square, Syracuse. The art exhibit and auction benefits Spay and Neuter Syracuse (SANS), a local spay and neuter clinic. The silent auction starts Friday February 29th at the Coffee Pavilion or by calling the phone numbers listed on the SANS website http://www.spayandneutersyracuse.org/
On February 29th, the “Pawcasso” festivities start at 5pm with open bidding on all art. Enjoy live music and a cash bar (beer and wine only) as you bid on masterpieces created by animal and human artists. Take your chances on great door prizes, such as, a trip to Toronto, a Coach bag, Herbal Equine Products Basket with a sign cap by Bezzie Madden,Wise Guys Comedy Showroom tickets, restaurant certificates, local sports tickets, art framing and massage/gym gift certificates.
Animal Communicator, Colleen Nicholson will be there 7-8p to help find out what’s on your pet’s mind for $5 a question with all proceeds going to SANS. Sorry but animal friend’s should not attend.
Can’t make on Friday? You can still bid in our silent auction. Come to the SANS website http://www.spayandneutersyracuse.org/ between 5 PM and 9PM on Friday, February 29, to bid. Just call one of the phone numbers listed and place your bid using a credit card.
With over 40 masterpieces of watercolors, photographs, pottery, paintings and jewelry by some talented furry and not so furry artists, there is something for every taste. You will see art created by a penguin, a parrot, a rabbit, cats, and dogs along side local human artists, such as; Sallie Thompson, Mike Greenfield, Jessica Webb, Otter Berry,Denise Dowdall, Tara McClung and many more.
All monies raised will go directly to Spay and Neuter Syracuse (SANS), a low cost spay and neuter clinic located in Syracuse. The clinic has altered over 2500 animals since November 2005. SANS is a volunteer based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to low cost dog and cat spaying and neutering for persons of low income in the Central New York area.
