Fourteen Central New York companies will showcase their staff’s musical talents when their corporate bands are “Rockin’ the Red Cross” to benefit the Onondaga-Oswego Chapter of the American Red Cross on Friday, April 18th at Syracuse ’s Landmark Theatre.
Held at the historic Landmark Theatre from 5:30 to 10 p.m., the event will feature the fourteen bands participating in an old-fashioned “battle of the bands” to be judged in an “American Idol”-style format. Local celebrities Ted Long and Amy Robbins from 93Q will once again emcee
The April 18th event begins at 5:30p.m.(first band performs at 6:30 p.m.). Judges to date include Todd Hobin of the legendary Todd Hobin Band, Joe Whiting of the The Joe Whiting Band, Mike Bialczak, well known music critic for the Post Standard, and Andrew Russo, Music Director at LeMoyne College!!
Food and beverages will be available for purchase all evening at this after-work, “happy-hour” type event. Syracuse ’s famous Dinosaur BBQ will be on hand with its own Rockin’ BBQ to boot! All proceeds from the event will benefit the Onondaga-Oswego Chapter of the American Red Cross. Tickets are $5 pre-sale and $10 day of at the Landmark Theatre Box office and through Ticketmaster.
