A bicycle ride & race in memory of Dick Shaffer

Borodino, NY (just 7 miles south of Skaneateles)

A 24 mile open bicycle race through the hills of beautiful Borodino, New York and a free 4 mile fun bicycle ride for people of all ages.

Starting and finishing at the Borodino Fire Department just south of the intersection of State Route 41 and Nunnery Road, Borodino, NY, 7 miles south of Skaneateles, NY

24 mile race goes off at 8:00 AM sharp. Registration opens 7:00-7:45 AM at the Fire Department. Fun ride starts at 8:05 AM.

To honor the memory of Dick Shaffer, Borodino resident, devoted husband/father, competitive triathlete/marathoner and bicyclist, and just all around good guy who passed away from cancer in November 2006. All proceeds from this race will be given 100% to Cancer research.
The rolling (39×23 gear suggested) 24 mile bicycle race is open to all men and women, age 15 and older. The fun ride is free, open to anyone, and is 4.2 miles in length, over flat to slightly rolling terrain. There will be a donation box located at the fire hall. Helmets Mandatory for ALL participants. Note: An adult MUST accompany young children on the fun ride.
