The watchfire comes from the ancient tradition that following a battle or long march a large fire was started so that those who are missing or lost could rejoin their comrades. So in this time honored tradition we use the warmth and peace of the watchfire to remember those who have gone before us. It is a chance for reflection as a community upon those that made our nation strong through their sacrifices.
Parking lot is located between State Fair Blvd. and Rt. 690. Use ramps from State Fair Blvd. to enter lot, proceed to end closest to Lakeland.
