Time Out to Fish at Carpenter’s Brook

Carpenter’s Brook Fish Hatchery’s Time Out to Fish program offers school groups serving children with special needs as well as senior citizens, and persons with disabilities the opportunity to fish for rainbow trout with all bait, equipment and an instructor being supplied for the outing.

School groups serving children with special needs will be scheduled weekdays from June 2 – June 13. Individual seniors, senior groups and local organizations that provide services for people with disabilities are scheduled weekdays June 16 – July 25. Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons are set aside for individual senior citizens. Sessions run 9:30-11:30 am and 1:30-3:30 pm. Reservations can be placed weekday mornings from 8:30 – 11:30 am beginning May 5th by calling (315) 689-9367. The price is $2 per adult, $1 per child. Groups must consist of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15 people.

Carpenter’s Brook Fish Hatchery, an Onondaga County Park facility, is open from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm during the summer and is located on Route 321, 2.3 miles south of the Route 5 intersection in the Town of Elbridge.
