Antiquefest at Long Branch
More than 200 dealers from around the country and Canada are expected to unpack their trunks this weekend for the Great American Antiquefest at Long Branch Park.
The show also features food and pickup services for bulky items, so patrons don’t have to carry their purchases around the grounds.
On Sunday, there will be antiques appraisals by expert and syndicated radio host Harry Rinker. The appraisals will be conducted from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the cost is $3 or two items for $5. Proceeds benefit the Children’s Reading Program.
$6 for single day; $7 for both days; $20 for early bird special which includes a weekend pass; 12 and younger, free.

With the upcoming release of the movie, Julie & Julia, Creekside Books has asked Julie Ann Sageer to prepare recipes from the movie and the book to celebrate Julia Child’s contribution to Mastering the Art of French Cooking.
Held on consecutive Thursday evenings, the Julie & Julia Cooking Lesson class on August 6th will feature recipes from the book, Julie & Julia, My Year of Cooking Dangerously.
The Julie & Julia Cooking Lessons class on August 13th will feature recipes from the movie. Julie Ann Sageer, know for her popular Lebanese Cuisine classes, will tap into her French heritage to help inspire class attendees to appreciate Julia Child’s life work to “help Americans understand and appreciate quality wine and food:. Skaneateles Historical Tours

Meeting at the Gazebo by the Lake
The Skaneateles Historical Society is conducting tours on July 25th and 26th. One hour long guided tours leave the gazebo by the Lake starting at 11 am and going to 2 pm. There is a fee of $10/person to benefit the Skaneateles Historical Society.
