Give Peace a Chance November 5th – 7th

This event is a community-making venture of the Cayuga County Chapter of the American Red Cross (CCARC), Auburn Public Theater and other partners exploring peace in our lives.

The educational component of Give Peace a Chance includes movies, lectures, trainings, educational offerings and workshops.

CCARC is still accepting vendors for a Peace Bazaar scheduled for Friday, November 6 from 5 – 9 pm and Saturday, November 7 from 10 am – 4 pm in the Atrium of Genesee Center, downtown. Booth rental is $30 and includes an 8’table. Reservations for one or more booths must be received by October 22nd.

The Peace Bazaar offers an opportunity for the community to shop globally and conscientiously at booths filled with Fair Trade items; recycled goods; specialty and ethnic foods; coffees and teas; jewelry; baskets and household goods; textiles; clothing and accessories; books, literature and much more. Practitioners will also offer chair massages, yoga, peace crane workshops, plus live music and children’s activities.

On Saturday night after the Bazaar, the event culminates with a cocktail party and dynamic concert Jazz for Peace, performed by internationally known musician, Rick Della Ratta and his band, which unite people and communities through jazz.
