If you haven’t wandered around the Finger Lakes region of Central New York, you should. And take along a copy of “Routes 5 & 20” , and a Blog they feature “Dashboard Diaries” for an amazing collection of very cool things to see and places to go.

Dashboard Diaries explores what’s cool and quirky along the road between Skaneateles and Batavia, NY.

It’s written by two Central New York natives with an unflagging wanderlust—and a firm belief that some of the most interesting places are right in their own backyards.

From the Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce:
Travelers of Routes 5 and 20 have a new resource at their fingertips—a blog called Dashboard Diaries. Drawing from the popular “Best of the Best” pocket map published by the Routes 5 & 20 Committee, Dashboard Diaries takes a fresh look at some of the unique eateries, activities, scenic spots, and shops that stud the highway between Skaneateles and Batavia. The new blog lives online at Routes5and20.com, a site maintained by an alliance of chambers and visitor bureaus along the road.

“What we are doing is highlighting the contemporary value of this historic road,” says Susan Dove, executive director of the Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce. “There are so many interesting stories and little-known gems all along the route. We want to provide a hub for anyone interested in sharing their impressions; as well as for those seeking insider info and candid reviews.”

CABARET AUDITONS

Auburn Public Theater is holding auditions for our next Cabaret Performance. Here are the details:

Youth Audition Requirements: Come prepared with 16 bars of any style song to be sung a capella. There will be some simple sight reading. SHOW DATE IS SET FOR MAY 15th.

Adult Audition Requirements: Come prepared with 16 bars of a show tune to be sung a capella. There will be some simple sight reading. You must be able to read music. There will be callbacks if needed. THE SHOW DATES ARE SET FOR May 21st and 22nd.
