Winter Wonders Week is Beaver Lake Nature Center’s answer to cabin fever
during area schools’ winter break.
From February 18 -22, the Nature Center will feature a fun filled schedule of both indoor and outdoor activities. Visitors will have the opportunity to get out and enjoy winter by participating in Ice Cutting, Building a Snow Cave, or Snowshoeing in Search of Wildlife Signs (weather permitting). Folks will be able to warm up in the Visitor Center and learn about the Featured Creature. In addition, trails will be open for skiing and snowshoeing. This year, local author Tom Adessa will read three of his children’s stories.
