A Visit to Sapsucker Woods with Beaver Lake Nature Center

May 9, 2008
7:00 am to 3 pm

Beaver Lake Nature Center is leading a trip to Sapsucker Woods at Cornell University in Ithaca, on Friday, May 9 from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. This trip leaves early so participants can reach Sapsucker Woods in time for a guided bird walk. The Sanctuary has more than four miles of trails that wind through a variety of habitats. After the tour, participants will visit the Johnson Center for Birds and Biodiversity that houses the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. The Visitor Center has an expansive wall of windows to enjoy views of Sapsucker Woods Pond and the Treman Bird Feeding Garden. The interactive exhibits and interpretive panels will offer participants a chance to test their knowledge of birds. Participants should bring a lunch. The price is $25 and advanced registration is required.

For more information contact the Nature Center at (315) 638-2519. Beaver Lake Nature Center is an Onondaga County Park located 3 miles west of Baldwinsville off of Route 370.
