The Ithaca Festival is one of the largest annual events in Upstate New York, attracting over 40,000 people to our little slice of heaven on Cayuga Lake.
Every year for 30+ years, an ever-expanding community of friends convenes for this unique, family-oriented Festival that celebrates this great region and the creative spirit within each of us.
This year our theme is I Am Ithaca! It’s a call to action that builds upon our distinct collective identity while simultaneously recognizing the many exceptional individuals who make Ithaca, New York so appealing to live in, work in, and visit. This year, show us your true colors and let’s make I-Fest one for the ages in ‘08!
One of America’s best homegrown arts festivals! On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the Festival happens in the heart of Ithaca, NY on the Ithaca Commons, throughout downtown and in DeWitt Park.
On Sunday, the entire Festival moves to Stewart Park at the base of Cayuga Lake. The ithaca Festival showcases the work of over 1,000 local artists, including crafters, poets, painters, dancers, divas, comedians, musicians, clowns, acrobats, community groups and ensembles. Ithaca’s largest festival and craft show celebrating the local area. Music, performers, and food vendors.

Thank you for writing about the Ithaca Festival.
We are quite excited about this year’s 31st Annual Ithaca Festival as we have moved the dates back into June (June 19th through June 22nd, 2008) to take advantage of warmer weather and extended daylight.
This year’s theme is “I Am Ithaca” and we are featuring continually updated daily stories and video about local Ithacans at our http://www.iamithaca.org blog site.
We hope that local Skaneatelans will visit our Festival which will take place this year at BOTH the downtown Ithaca Commons and at Stewart Park for Friday through Sunday of Festival Weekend.
If we can be of any help pre-Festival, please feel free to drop us an e-mail at either:
– board@ithacafestival.org (Ed Marion, Bd. Pres.), or
– director@ithacafestival.org (Jacob Roberts, Exec. Dir.).
Come visit http://www.ithacafestival.org. See you in June!
