In the 1960s, Cambridge University student and future physicist Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne) falls in love with fellow collegian Jane Wilde (Felicity Jones). At 21, Hawking learns that he has motor neuron disease. Despite this — and with Jane at his side — he begins an ambitious study of time, of which he has very little left, according to his doctor. A new play from the creators of The Calamari Sisters,
based on actual letters written by real daughters to their mothers.

“Dear Mom is…for anyone who has ever had a mother, knows a mother, or is or will be a mother.” – Paulanne Simmons, New York Theater Wire

Linda is a 45 year-old control freak with mommy issues. Joan is her feisty mother with a talent for saying the wrong thing. Two women who know exactly how to push each other’s buttons. One last family feud. Based on letters written by real life daughters to their mothers, DEAR MOM tackles the tears and laughter that go hand-in-hand with a mother-daughter relationship.
