“With its vividly drawn world and characters, the movie doesn’t presume to encompass the entirety of what it means to be black, but it does give one of the most entertaining and honest depictions of black life in a so-called “white” world in years.” – Zeba Blay of Indiewire

Winner of the 2014 Sundance Film Festival’s Special Jury Award for Breakthrough Talent, Dear White People is a sly, provocative satire of race relations in the age of Obama. Nate Taylor is a folk singer/songwriter from Stroudsburg, PA. While working a two year stint in corporate New York City, he realized his true dream was to travel and play music. In February he left NYC to drive around the USA, write music, and perform. Now back east, Nate is excited to share his music with family, friends, and fans. Life on the road has given Nate a deep repertoire of original music covering the central themes of life and love from the perspective of a young man coming of age in modern America. His guitar playing has been compared to the stylings of Nick Drake while his voice is more evocative of classical singers like Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli.
For this Sunday Music Series Nate will be performing with college friend and choir-mate Meg Clary. Meg performs all over CNY both as a vocalist and an actor.
