Our Blog

Nate Taylor is a folk singer/songwriter from Stroudsburg, PA. While working a two year stint in corporate New York City, he realized his true dream was to travel and play music. In February he left NYC to drive around the USA, write music, and perform. Now back east, Nate is excited to share his music with family, friends, and fans. Life on the road has given Nate a deep repertoire of original music covering the central themes of life and love from the perspective of a young man coming of age in modern America. His guitar playing has been compared to the stylings of Nick Drake while his voice is more evocative of classical singers like Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli.

For this Sunday Music Series Nate will be performing with college friend and choir-mate Meg Clary. Meg performs all over CNY both as a vocalist and an actor.

Donna Dennihy (guitar, lead and harmony vocals)
Donna is a local singer-songwriter who has been performing with the band Edgy Folk for many years. Her songs draw from a lifelong creative involvement in music and a love of songwriting. She released her first solo album Early Girl in December 2013. Donna’s songs have been described as sweet and poignant with understated beauty. Her recent project with friends Paul Wakker and Ted Williams features original songs from Early Girl, as well as traditional and cover songs with an emphasis on beautiful harmonies…. and having fun!

Paul Wakker (bass, lead and harmony vocals)
Paul is a two-time SAMMY award winner and a founding member of The Lost Boys. He has played bass with several bands and musicians in Central NY including Loren Barrigar and John Cadley. A voice like no other, Paul has been highly regarded for his lead and harmony capabilities. Luckily, he didn’t listen to his 3rd grade teacher when she told him to stop singing.

Ted Williams (guitar, mandolin, vocals)
Ted is a member of the bluegrass groups The Mark Allnatt Band and John Cadley and the Lost Boys. He has played guitar in numerous productions of “Always Patsy Cline” with the incomparable Becky Botrill and has appeared many times with the legendary Dean Brothers Band. Ted is very pleased to have an opportunity to play with Donna Dennihy and his old friend Paul Wakker.

Sam Morril, one of the fastest rising comics in New York City, is also one of the best joke writers in the scene today. How do you know that’s true? Because he is writing this bio, and he wouldn’t lie about that to get extra work. He won March Madness 2010 at Comix, has performed in a Friars Roast, and was featured in a 4-page spread in the Daily News as “one of the four funniest in New York?” He then won the Laughing Skull Festival in Atlanta, beating out over 600 applicants. Sam was recently named a 2011 “Comic to Watch” by Comedy Central. His comedy can be heard on Sirius XM radio, and he’s a regular at all the top clubs in the city, all at the tender and supple age of 25. Come see Sam before his ego gets too big to do small rooms.
