This holiday season, Candlelight Tours hosted of the beautifully decorated Seward House Museum will immerse you in the intimate holiday celebrations of Auburn’s rich past. You are invited to join the Seward Family as they prepare for Christmas in their Auburn home. Costumed guides will lead tours through the house, which will be bustling as members of the family, friends, and servants prepare the holiday meal, exchange gifts, share stories from past holidays, and circle around the piano to sing carols. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children twelve and under. Prepaid reservations are required as tours do sell out. Reservations can be made by calling (315) 252-1283 or visiting the Museum. Tours begin at 6pm & 7pm.

The January full moon is called the Wolf Moon because in days past the wolves could be heard howling at this time of the year. We do not have wolves to listen to but who knows what we might see or hear during a moon walk; owls, fox, deer or other creatures of the winter night. Even if we do not see any wildlife it will be interesting to observe the wetlands, woodlands and fields by the light of the Moon. Snowshoes will be available if needed.
