One of the most popular winter wildlife activities in the US is watching and feeding birds at a feeding station. This program will help you identify the birds at your feeder and show you ways to create simple feeders. Participants will create a peanut butter and seed feeder to take home. A short winter bird walk will follow the indoor program. This program is free and open to the public.

Nate Taylor is a folk singer/songwriter from Stroudsburg, PA. While working a two year stint in corporate New York City, he realized his true dream was to travel and play music. In February he left NYC to drive around the USA, write music, and perform. Now back east, Nate is excited to share his music with family, friends, and fans. Life on the road has given Nate a deep repertoire of original music covering the central themes of life and love from the perspective of a young man coming of age in modern America. His guitar playing has been compared to the stylings of Nick Drake while his voice is more evocative of classical singers like Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli.
For this Sunday Music Series Nate will be performing with college friend and choir-mate Meg Clary. Meg performs all over CNY both as a vocalist and an actor.
Our 17th Annual Amateur Chef’s Night is almost here! On Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:30pm, the Community Preservation Committee’s (CPC’s) signature fundraising event returns to Sacred Heart. What a great opportunity to eat, drink and be merry with friends and family, all while supporting the Willard Chapel.
What makes this food-and fun-fund raiser so special is the hearty participation of many chefs we know and love from our own community. Our friendly chefs will prepare and serve appetizers, soups, and desserts with a side of cheery banter! A carving station, with beer tasting by Budweiser joining long-time supporter Dr. Frank for wine tasting, rounds out the fare for the evening. A silent auction of quality goods and services adds a dash of excitement too! There will be ample informal seating for everyone.
Tickets for Chef’s Night are a $40 donation per person and are available at the Willard Chapel office, 17 Nelson Street Auburn. Stop by anytime we’re open Tuesdays through Fridays, 10am-4pm. All proceeds will benefit the CPC and the Willard Memorial Chapel.
