FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK and OPEN HOUSE

First Friday in Skaneateles

The First Friday of every month is a special one from May through December in Skaneateles.  It is a night to celebrate the arts in Skaneateles, as well as stroll the streets and the shops, and grab a bite to eat at one of the many local restaurants.  You will be amazed at the talents of the potters, painters, poets and musicians in our community.  It is also a night for all the unique shops in Skaneateles to showcase what is new.  Many businesses will also have refreshments for you as well!  Come to First Friday in Skaneateles!

Skaneateles welcomes the return of First Friday May 2.

The May to December romance of the arts, now in its eighth year, features artwork from students in the Skaneateles Central School District, along with gallery openings, tastings and entertainment. The event runs 5 to 8 p.m., with some shops open later.

The Easter Bunny will be hopping into Skaneateles at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19 for a grand Easter egg hunt.

All children ages 7 and under are invited to come down to Clift Park by the Gazebo and hunt for eggs filled with prizes. Hundreds of very special eggs will have an extra prize in the egg that can be redeemed from area merchants.

The Annual Skaneateles Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored and organized by the Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and co-sponsored by the Skaneateles Rotary Club. This year students from the Skaneateles Junior National Honor Society will be helping Committee Chairs Katie Armijo and Lori Milne make this event happen.

After the hunt, the talented dancers from Gazella Dance Studio perform in the gazebo at 10:15 a.m.

Pride and Joy, located at 22 Jordan St., will offer free face painting at their store after the Easter Egg Hunt.
