We know you like to travel with Fido. Consider a road trip through the Finger Lakes District of Central New York.

Otisco Lake, Skaneateles Lake, Owasco Lake, Cayuga Lake, Seneca Lake, Keuka Lake, Canandaigua Lake, Honeoye Lake, Canadice Lake, Hemlock Lake, Conesus Lake are 11 of the Finger Lakes (But who’s counting?).  All have charming Villages and breath-taking views, but for a really special ‘look & feel’ choose Skaneateles. Hard to pronounce and almost impossible to spell correctly, Skaneateles is more than a collection of vowels, it is a StoryBook Destination.

Consider spending several days; you will need it to visit the Village shops, restaurants and attractions. Consider nearby Auburn and Seneca Falls for history. Wineries and Wine Trails are a short hop, or you can hire a limo.

And bring the dog. Skaneateles Suites is a Collection of individual, soundproof Bungalows conveniently located of 5 acres of grounds for Fido to romp.

Good Dog Park

The first of its kind in Central New York, Good Dog Park is located in the Cold Springs section of Onondaga Lake Park and is open from sunrise to sunset, seven days a week year-round.

Allowed to exercise without leashes in an area devoted just to pets, dogs are ‘barking up a storm’ about this 40,000 sq. ft. fenced-in area includes an exercise area with tunnels, jumps and bridges, and of course – red fire hydrants. There is plenty of seating on the commemorative benches located both inside and outside of the fence, drinking water and several waste clean-up stations. A double gated dog entrance keeps dogs inside the enclosure from running out each time another dog enters. Small dogs have the choice of mixing with the big dogs or can play in a separate area for dogs under 25 lbs.
