Aug 23 New York State Fair
Whether this is your first or your twentieth visit, I am certain that you will enjoy this single largest statewide attraction that showcases the pride of New York so well displayed in its agricultural products, entertainment, education, industry and technology - all taking place on more than 375 acres.
For families with children, it is a chance to see the unveiling of the butter sculpture or to stroll through the Youth Building and observe what 4-Hers from across the State have been learning. For horse enthusiasts, it’s an opportunity to view many exciting forms of equestrian competition. Yet for other visitors, it means enjoying that long awaited food specialty from your favorite vendor.
Many people are certain to find a moment of solitude and quiet reflection in taking a walk to the Veterans Memorial and 9/11 Memorial. These places of tribute call our thoughts to those citizens who are no longer with us, but whose spirit burns brightly in our hearts and minds.
Whatever your interests might be, the State Fair has something for everyone.
