[Skaneateles, NY] Creekside Books & Coffee, an independent bookstore and coffeehouse in Skaneateles, in conjunction with Laura’s List: Books for Women hosts a BOOK LOVERS’ PARTY, Thursday, June 26th 7:00pm at Creekside. Join us as we kick off summer reading previews with: Sudan Activist and ER Physician Dr. Barbara Connor, Donna Woolfolk Cross author of POPE JOAN, Laura Ponticello, founder of Laura’s List: Books for Women, and Erika Davis owner Creekside Books & Coffee.
ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Donna Woolfolk Cross: With an esteemed background including graduation from the University of Pennsylvania, earning a master’s degree in Literature and Writing from UCLA, editorial assistant on Fleet Street London, England, and work at a Madison Avenue advertising firm, Cross has relocated to Central New York. She has authored two books on language, Word Abuse: How the Words We Use Use Us and Mediaspeak: How Television Makes Up Your Mind. She is the coauthor of Speaking of Words and Daddy’s Little Girl. Pope Joan, her first novel is the product of seven years of research and writing, soon to be a major motion picture. She is now at work on a new novel set in 17th century France.
