| The Octagon Cottage is a local Icon. 20 years ago, a local High School shop teacher decided to build a Geodesic Dome “Because I always wanted to”. Families from all over the lake, (mine included) would take a boat ride every few days, just to see the progess in construction. Now for the first time, you can spend time in the Octagon Cottage. It’s small, but sleeps 2 in a bedroom, 2 in a loft bedroom and 2 on a sleeper. Sorry, only 1 bath. Octagon Geodesic Dome is adoreable and lot’s of fun. The wraparound deck supplies lot’s and space (the panoramic views are spectacular) and a cold beer is only steps away from your deck chair. Like many Finger Lakes locations, Octagon Cottage is on a bluff and that means a set of stairs to the waterfront. (Just think of it as going to the gym!). There is a a dock and mooring buoy.Local TV channels only (We don’t want you watching TV anyway) and no phone (But our cell phones work great).
