Tucked away in a private corner of ‘The Lane’ less than 2 miles from Skaneateles Village is Shotwell Cottage and the Guest Cabin, a rare find indeed. The Shotwell Cottage is recently renovated, but still evokes the informal charm of summer vacation cottages you remember from days-gone-by. Don’t expect granite countertops here, do expect every modern convenience in the fully equipped kitchen (although we recommend you cook outdoors on the grill) and Cable TV and Highpeed Internet.The Main Cottage has two bedrooms, one Queen Pillowtop Mattress for Mom and Dad, one with two twins, and one bath with shower, and hardwood floors throughout. A warm, comfortable Living / Dining area with gas fireplace opens to a generous screened porch with spectacular vews of the Lake. Indeed, we recommend you attend to your inner child by claiming the bed on the porch. Fall asleep while listening to the lake at night.
The ‘Guest Cabin’ is right next door, perfect for friends or kids of all ages to sleep in their own little private get-away. The Guest Cabin has two bedrooms and 1 full bath with shower. Bedroom 1 has a double, the other two twins. We recommend you just smile when you hear the kids ’staying up to late’ at night.
But it’s the waterfront that makes Shotwell Cottage so great. 100 private feet with a developed concrete deck (with railings) and dock, mooring for your boat (Or you can rent one from us) and of course, comfortable lounge furniture and a 4 burner gas grill. |
