Creekside Books & Coffee is introducing their now “Wine & Appetizer Menu”
on Friday, July 17th from 6-8 PM during the Curbstone Festival. Come try
local and global wines in addition to handcraft Cheeses by the Murray Family,
a “Dairy of Distinctin” for the past 17 years. Live music by Poor Howard begins
at 7:30 PM also in the Coffeehouse.
Visit the Tent Sale on the Front Lawn from 9am-8pm where you will find 30-70% off of books,
gifts and toys!

Dennis J. Connors is Curator of History at the Onondaga Historical
Association Museum & Research Center. He regularly lectures and offers
walking tours about Syracuse area history, and serves as chief curator
for several of the museum’s exhibitions.
This event is free to the public and requires no registration.

Local author Mike Quigley returns to Creekside
Mike will introduce his newest book in the Stump City series,
Childhood Without A Helmet : Stump City Two.
Set again in that predominantly Irish-American section of Skaneateles Falls, New YOrk,
the story roughtly parallels the time period of Stump City but focuses on Michael’s
interactions with his friends and neighbors.
This event is free to the public. No registration required.

This workshop will teach the techniques involved in planning and structuring a novel.
The course will also cover the craft of creative writing in general,
with an emphasis on crafting solid plots, believable characters and satisfying dramatic
action. The principles involved can, of course, be applied to several other forms of
writing, including short stories, childrenâ??s books, creative nonfiction and memoir,
among others.
Fee of $85 for five 90 minute sessions.
