“Corduroy” Author, Barbara Hennessy, will be a Creekside Books for a special storytime
& booksigning event! Corduroy (costumed character) will be on hand during the event and
will wander around the village earlier in the day during the Curbstone Festival.

Creekside Books is bringing Laura Numeroff, author of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie to the Syracuse Civic Center Sunday, October 5th at 3:00 pm for a presentation and book signing. Laura has a new book, If You Give a Cat a Cupcake, releasing September 30th just in time for our event. Make this a day your kids won’t soon forget! Tickets will be available to the general public through Ticketmaster beginning on September 2nd

Creekside Books and the Sherwood Inn host Kirk W. House and Charles R. Mitchell, authors of Finger Lakes and Watkins Glen Racing.
For Around Watkins Glen, historians Charles R. Mitchell and Kirk W. House have assembled images from the Schuyler County Historical Society, the International Motor Racing Research Center of Watkins Glen, and private collections. Mitchell, formerly a professional photographer, is curator of the Oliver House Museum. House, the former director-curator of the Glenn Curtiss Museum, is a member of the Schuyler County Historical Society and other historical groups. Together and singly, they have written histories on Bath, Corning, Hammondsport, Keuka Lake, Penn Yan, and aviation subjects.
This event will be held at the Sherwood Inn on Genesee Street.
