Meet the artist! Come and celebrate with Skaneateles Artisans at their First Friday Art Night celebration on Friday November 7th from 5-8 p.m. where they will be featuring the work of Jennifer Locke. She will be on premises to talk and answer questions as well as demonstrating how she makes her beautiful one of a kind mittens, scarves and pins. Seward House Museum, 33 South St. – Join us for our first fall First Friday reception! The Honky Tonk Hindooz will be playing live at the Seward House Museum and we will be featuring the eclectic and unique artwork of Alan Alger in our gift shop gallery space. Refreshments served.

Seward House Museum, 33 South St. - Enjoy a relaxing evening in the beautiful gardens featuring live music by Cristofe Chabot performing renditions of traditional, folk & classic rock. Our featured gallery artist is photographer Dan Marquart exhibiting a new series of works titled Light & Shade: Photographic Conversations. As always, docents will be on hand to answer questions in the Dining Room & Drawing Room and complimentary refreshments will be served.
Cayuga Museum, 203 Genesee St. - September First Friday will be hosted in the Case Research Lab instead of the Museum. Watch Case’s test films and learn the history of the birth of talking movies. Light refreshments will be served.

F.A.M.E. Center for Creative Expression, 39 Genesee St. - Making a Mark is about enabling gifted people to celebrate self-expression and empowerment through creativity. Reception with light refreshments. Free to enter, art is for sale & proceeds go to the artist who created the piece.

FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK and OPEN HOUSE
The First Friday of every month is a special one from May through December in Skaneateles. It is a night to celebrate the arts in Skaneateles, as well as stroll the streets and the shops, and grab a bite to eat at one of the many local restaurants. You will be amazed at the talents of the potters, painters, poets and musicians in our community. It is also a night for all the unique shops in Skaneateles to showcase what is new. Many businesses will also have refreshments for you as well! Come to First Friday in Skaneateles!
Skaneateles welcomes the return of First Friday May 2.
The May to December romance of the arts, now in its eighth year, features artwork from students in the Skaneateles Central School District, along with gallery openings, tastings and entertainment. The event runs 5 to 8 p.m., with some shops open later.

Join us for a First Friday reception, featuring live American acoustic music by guitar player & vocalist, Tim Herron, and a photography exhibit by emerging artist, Caleb Filer. Tim is based out of Syracuse, New York and plays in a band, as well as playing and singing solo. Caleb is studying photography at Onondaga Community College, where he is graduating in May 2014. His work focuses on “details often overlooked,” resulting in breathtaking images of the natural world.
In addition to our First Friday reception, the Seward House Museum will be participating in a small Arbor Day ceremony taking place in Seward Park at 7 pm, where a tree will be planted. Please stop by to be a part of this celebration.
As always, guests are invited into the Museum to view the Dining and Drawing Rooms, with docents on hand to answer questions and interpret the spaces. Complimentary refreshments will be served.
This event is free and open to the public.
