Milfoil Benefit featuring Dusty Pas’cal, the Milfoil Monster and the children’s coloring contest will be held on Sunday, August 30th from 3-5 PM. $5 Admission at the door goes directly to the Milfoil Eradication Project as well at 10% of the purchases from Creekside’s new Wine & Appetizer Menu. $1 Donation for photos with the Milfoil Monster also goes directly to the project. Winners of the children’s coloring contest (6 yrs. & younger) will recieve prizes the following prizes: Webkinz of their choice from White Sleight…ETC. or a Children’s Book of their choice from Creekside Books & Coffee. Winners (7-12 yrsa) will receive a Skaneateles Gift Basket from the Skaneateles Chamber or a $25 Gift Certifcate from the Skaneateles Town Square. Pick up and drop off of coloring contest entries are available at Creekside Books & Coffee, Skaneateles Chamber, Skaneateles Town Center and or Skaneateles Journal Office.

Gina Oliva, Ph.D., Professor of Education and Recreation at Gallaudet University and author of: A Deaf Woman Remembers Public School will be discussing education, the effects of being “alone in the mainstream” and how important it is for Deaf youth to forge lasting relationships.

In addition Rebecca Dadey & Jeff Sterly will be hosting their own version of “Are you smarter than a 5th Grader“.
