Grammie’s Pantry Reopens Feb. 2, 2010 Offering Heart-to-Heart Tea

Chocolate raspberry scones. Tea sandwiches. Corn chowder.

Throughout the month of February, Grammie’s Pantry Tea Room and Gift Shop, 1126 Woodworth Road, Skaneateles, will offer a seven-course Heart-to-Heart Tea Luncheon.

Also on the menu are tea or gourmet coffee, fruit cup, Grammie’s Feta Spread with crackers, a surprise entrée and chocolate cake.

The Heart-to-Heart Tea runs Feb. 2-27, Tuesday through Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $23 per person. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 636-8111.

Grammie’s Pantry is located 11 miles south of the village of Skaneateles, off Route 41 (East Lake Road). For more information, visit http://www.grammiespantry.com.

Romantic love is celebrated on Valentine’s Day.

But what about all those other people you love—mothers, sisters, grandparents, friends?

Throughout the month of February 2009, Grammie’s Pantry Tea Room and Gift Shop, 1126 Woodworth Road, Skaneateles,NY 13152 will offer a “Heart-to-Heart” English Victorian tea as a unique way of saying, “I love you.”

The menu includes English scones, homemade lemon curd and Devonshire cream, Burgundy fruit cup, strawberries and cream, Feta spread and crackers, tea sandwiches, crepes with Grammie’s special filling, and a decadent chocolate dessert.

The Heart-to-Heart tea runs Feb. 2-28, Monday through Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Cost is $19.95. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 636-8111.

Mr. Dickens, Scrooge, Tiny Tim and company won’t be arriving in Skaneateles until the day after Thanksgiving.
 
But you don’t have to wait until then to get a taste of Victorian England. Starting Nov. 1, and running through Dec. 20, Grammie’s Pantry Tea Room and Gift Shop will offer its traditional Dickens Christmas Tea.
 
The menu includes tea or gourmet coffee, fruit compote, scones with lemon curd and Devonshire cream, Grammie’s Garlic Herb Feta Spread with crackers, tea sandwiches, quiche and dessert.
 
Cost is $19.95, and reservations are required.
 
Grammie’s Pantry is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 1126 Woodworth Road, Skaneateles. For reservations, call 636-8111.
 
Starting Jan. 5, the tea room will open Monday through Saturday for English afternoon tea parties and a la carte lunches for parties of two or more, by reservation.

Grammie’s Pantry Hosts Tea-Tasting Aug. 27, 2008

Want to learn more about the health benefits of tea, and experience new flavors and tastes from around the world?

Then check out the tea-tasting Aug. 27 at Grammie’s Pantry Tea Room and Gift Shop, 1126 Woodworth Road, Skaneateles. The program, which will run from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., will feature a presentation by Linda Smith, founder and owner of Divinitea, one of the nation’s first all-organic tea companies.

Smith will speak on “What You Ever Wanted to Know About Teas and Health But Were Afraid to Ask.” Eight teas will be sampled, including white tea, green tea, black tea, Oolong, Rooibos (South Africa), Yerba Mate (South America) and other herbals. Also featured will be iced teas and autumn teas.

The program includes a “cream tea”—scones, lemon curd, Devonshire cream, fruit cup marinated in sherry cream sauce, cheese spread and crackers.

Cost is $15, and reservations are requested. To reserve your spot, call 636-8111 by Aug. 25, 2008
