Orange Line Gallery continues to spread art cheer during this holiday season with an extra special show out of the gallery called, “Thank You Santa”. Water Street, Syracuse, NY 13202 on the west side of the Clinton Square Fountain and within walking distance of the Big Tree. Artists will be in attendance and refreshments will be served.
Work will be displayed on the salon walls by artists Marna Bell (photography), David McKenney- (photography), Jace Collins-(oil, acrylic and paper on Plexiglas) and photography by newcomer Josh Walsdorf. This will be the first time Mr. Walsdorf’s work has been seen publically.
Entertainment during the opening will be provided by a group from Corcoran High School’s Jazz Ensemble, and includes Caitlin Kinne- Flute, Ayumi Stultz- Flute, Anthony Wright- Clarinet, Imani Williams- Clarinet, Margaret Moreno-Euphonium and Leigh Scheuerman- Director/Cello. A lovely arrangement of holiday music will be heard to get everyone in the mood.
“When I see Santa this year, all I want to do is express my gratitude for the good people around me- family and friends. I really have all that I want; the only thing on my Christmas list is for everyone to get together to celebrate the holidays. I’m trying to make that happen during the month of December,” states OL owner Melissa Tiffany. “And Sasha is such a beautiful venue, and they are a wonderful group, I definately wanted them to celebrate with me.”
Sasha Salon & Spa is open Tuesday – Friday from 9am – 6pm and Saturday from 8am – 4pm. The owner, Michalle Harmon, is a friend of the arts and her shop coninues to promote fine art in the area. Their last show, featuring work from the Open Figure Drawing Group at the Westcott Community Center, recently closed. The “Thank You Santa” show will be up through mid-February.
Regular Orange Line Gallery hours are Thursdays & Fridays from 5:30pm – 10pm, Saturdays noon – 6pm, and by appointment. However, due to the holidays we will be closed on Thursday December 25, Friday December 26, and January 1 – 3, 2009. We will re-open regularly beginning Thursday January 8, 2009.
