Meet Dellas the Frog!

The Rosamond Gifford Zoo is excited to introduce its new frog mascot, Dellas.  He came to us from our good friends at Dellas Graphics, who provided the costume to us to help celebrate the Year of the Frog and to help promote conservation.

Dellas Graphics, a Syracuse-based commercial printer, mail house and fulfillment center is deeply committed to the environment and to business practices that preserve and protect the world’s resources.  Because of that commitment, they were recently certified by the Forest Stewardship Council of the United States.

Dellas Graphics, out of concern for their carbon footprint, uses 100 percent wind power — a renewable energy source — in their manufacturing facilities, fulfillment center and offices.  They also use soy-based inks and recycle all of their paper, plastics and metals. 

The Zoo participates in many different conservation acts that can help keep wild animals safe and healthy and their environments clean.  The next time you visit the Zoo, look for Dellas!  And, remember to recycle!

Tuesdays in July, experience a Sunset Safari!
