7:00 PM. The Inns of Aurora will present their second Literature on the

Lake event. The evening will feature a group of writers and editors of SUNY Upstate Medical

University’s Center for Bioethics and Humanities’ literary journal, The Healing Muse. Including

fiction, poetry, and non-fiction, the evening will feature a conversation on the process of writing,

as individuals read about topics revolving around medicine, illness, healing, disability, and

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County (CCE), will discuss the geological and

ecological dynamics that helped create Skaneateles Lake and the surrounding watershed.

Hydropower, mills and lumber have played vital roles in shaping development and maintaining

open space. How does water flow within the watershed and what factors affect water quality

Skaneateles YMCA and Community Center annual fund campaign continues, Central to the Y’s

mission is the principle that no one is turned away due to an inability to pay. The annual support

campaign raises scholarship dollars for program and membership subsidies. In 2012, more than $53,000

of membership and program subsidy was awarded, benefiting more than 300 individuals.
