COOKING CLASS: the Inns of Aurora is slated to present the next in its

series of cooking classes, Fundamentals of Soup. This small, hands-on class runs from 6:00 p.m.

until 8:30 p.m. and costs $75 per person. The price includes a full meal, served at 8:30, of the

MUSIC: 4:00 PM . The MasterWorks Chorale of CNY is looking forward to

presenting Mozart’s classic work – ”Requiem in D minor” – in the sonic splendor of St. Mary’s

Catholic Church, Auburn. Members of Symphony Syracuse will be accompanying the choir with

professional soloists, including Janet Brown, Daniel Kringer, Stephen Stomps and Jennifer

DeStio. Paired with this work will be one of Handel’s “Chandos” Anthems, based on Psalm 42.

To complete the program, the choir will sing 2 short but exquisite settings of Ave Verum Corpus

– by Mozart and by William Byrd. The MasterWorks Chamber Singers will also debut in a

performance of Giovanni da Palestrina’s quintessential Renaissance work – “Sicut Cervus”.
