These maps show how our understanding of the world around us has changed over the past 400 years.  Admission free, suggested donation $3, Tue-Sun, Noon – 5:00 pm .  www.cayugamuseum.org  315-253-8051

Nov. 16th & 17th - GAMES – A romantic COMPLICATED like/crush LOVE story SAGA – Auburn Public Theater, 108 Genesee St., Auburn.  The Drawing Board Theatre Project presents an Original Play written and directed by Rachel Carrozziere.  The ageless question continues to baffle us today: Is there such a thing as true love? Love stories have dominated theater from the beginning. Why have myths and fairytales about valiant heroes who rescue princesses trapped in towers, stood the test of time? Despite our vast differences, there is an undeniable force that draws us together. This play challenges us to laugh at ourselves, our obscured ideas of relationships, and how things ‘should’ be. Through the process of producing this play, I have concluded one thing: love is what it always has been, a mystery. There is no right or wrong way to define it. In fact, it is its intrigue that entices us, and its power to scale any obstacle that makes love the miracle that it is. $15/at the door; $10/advance, 11/16 8:00 pm, 11/17 5:00 & 8:00 pm. www.auburnpublictheater.org  315-253-6669

Nov.16th & 17th – Sleepwalk With Me – Auburn Public Theater, 108 Genesee St., Auburn.  Comedian Mike Birbiglia has long been mining his life and personal foibles for material in his stand-up act, creating a persona that’s self-effacing, sweet and silly. In 2008, he reconfigured elements from his act and from his life together to create the one-man show Sleepwalk With Me, which went on to become a book in 2011, and later a narrative film that took Sundance by storm last winter. Birbiglia both directed and starred in the piece which tells the tale of a struggling comedian who faces a career slump and a failing relationship, amidst increasingly dangerous bouts of sleepwalking.  Tickets $5/online,. $6/at the door, 11/16 1:00 & 8:00 pm, 11/17 8:00 pm.  www.auburnpublictheater.org  315-253-6669

Nov. 25th – Sunday Series:  Tess Eller – Auburn Public Theater, 108 Genesee St., Auburn.  Tess Eller is a born and raised New Yorker in her roaring twenties. Singing since she was a young lass, she boasts the sultry smokey vocals of a modern day jazz singer. Once a student of the notorious Nancy Kelly, Ms. Eller has begun to come into her own under the spotlight.  As a frequenter of the stage at Auburn Public Theater’s Open Mic night, she was performing an a cappella version of Misty, when her luxurious notes crept into the ears of Mr. Carey Eidel.  Upon hearing her vocal talent, he took her under his wing. After multiple performances at APT’s open mic night, offered her the opportunity to hit the stage for her debut.  Her soulful vocals and undeniable razzle and dazzle will launch you back to the golden era of Jazz.  $10 Door / Advance, 4pm.  www.auburnpublictheater.org  315-253-6669

Omar Tamez, Mexico’s most respected jazz and new music guitarist, and Harvey Sorgen, a celebrated drummer who has played and recorded with Hot Tuna, Paul Simon, Bruce Hornsby and many more, will be giving a one-night-only performance to benefit the Cayuga Museum. Tamez, founder and director of Mexico’s leading new music festival “ENCEUENTRO INTERNATIONAL,” now in its 13th year, is a leading proponent of increasing cultural understanding through musical collaboration. He and Sorgen will be playing in Auburn with Peter Mack, jazz bassist who has recorded several big band albums with the leading lights of modern jazz. David CasT, a multi-talented jazz musician and master of the saxophone, who has recorded with Levon Helm, the Dave Matthews Band, and a host of others, will anchor the band.  Tickets $15, 7pm.  315-253-8051
